Black Moth Super Rainbow is a trippy band. Eating Us is a trippy album. And I mean that in a good way. We need to feel like we're high without taking drugs sometimes, right? Indeed. Pitchfork describes the album as 'air being dipped in candy acid fluff'. That probably sums it up right there. I call it simply an exploding rainbow made out of candy and marshmallows. You see, BMSR have been around for a long time. When I say that, I mean, like, since 2003 or so (2000 under the name llars)

Black Moth Super Rainbow. It must have become clear at some point in the beginning stages of planning their fourth album that something had to change for Black Moth Super Rainbow, that perhaps they had taken their sound as far as they could and needed an upgrade. It sounds like they got tired of making music in a dingy basement filled with melted candles and old pizza boxes and figured it was time to move to the big leagues. To that end, on Eating Us they've paired with Flaming Lips/Mercury Rev producer Dave Fridmann and made a record that is far slicker and pro sounding than anything they've done before.

Reviews about Black Moth Super Rainbow - Eating Us (7):
Daizil
Can't beat this record and because of all of the tape delay it sounds fantastic on vinyl.
GoodLike
I ordered from Graveface, and mine included a fold-out poster, a larger version of the album cover.
Knights from Bernin
You got lucky then! Maybe they ran out and then just had a new batch made to include, or something like that
Androlhala
The one that I ordered directly from radcult didn't include the poster. Anyone else have this problem? I was curious if mine was an error, or if the inclusion of the poster was accidentally added to Discogs.
Beazekelv
I did not get a poster either. I'm guessing they just didn't put them in all packages.
Justie
I too ordered directly from Radcult recently and my copy didn't include the poster as well. Maybe they did initially until they ran out or something?
Efmprof
I can't believe this went for $15!
