Then I was standing on the highest mountain of them all, and round about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being. And I saw that the sacred hoop of my people was one of many hoops that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father.

Follow Steve Brand and others on SoundCloud. The Path Of The Heart was begun in early 2014 as the result of several live improvisations in my studio. I began communicating with Mark Seelig via the internet and quickly found that we had a great deal in common, and so i was inspired to ask him to send material for a collaborative track for this album, which turned out to be Let It All Fall Away.

The Hoop Troop will be performing as the Hooped Up Tunes at this year's Pink Party! They have a new routine they will be debuting with 5 other girls who will be singing I've Got A Feeling. This is going to be a great performance! Here is the Hoop Troop performing Jane from febuary. Basic combinations of hoop moves and tricks will be taught and can be expanded upon for the more gifted hoopers. This event should be a lot of fun and exercise.

The Long-Awaited Album,' Steve Martin's brand new project with the North Carolina Grammy-winning group the Steep Canyon Rangers, is full of stories that mix humor and melancholy, whimsy and realism, rich characters and evocative details. That instrument-so dexterously, even acrobatically picked and strummed-proves just as crucial to relating these tales as the lyrics themselves, each chord and riff revealing depths to Martin's narrators and to his musical talent. I love Steve Martin's banjo playing and writing. He's great with the Steep Canyon Rangers and I have their other CD's as well. This one is just as enjoyable as the others. He does sing lead on a couple of the songs and does a reasonably good job, though he knows full well he's not Woody and doesn't try to be anything he's not.

Abba are like the Carpenters, a great pop band, and Arrival is the pinnacle of their art, as is Donna Summer’s Bad Girls. 1982, like 1971 was a standout year with Michael Jackson’s Thriller becoming the bestselling album of all time. Prince’s 1999 may not have sold as many copies, but it is full of great songs. ABC may not make everyone’s list but it is what a pop album is all about, songs. By the end of the decade Madonna’s Like a Prayer was proving that she could continue to turn out albums full of classy songs
