Passin' Thru is a live album by jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd, recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival and in Santa Fe in 2016 and released on the Blue Note label in 2017. But not recording together doesn't mean the same thing as not playing, as amply evidenced here.

Lloyd Ryan is English drummer and educator. He has been described as "a specialist in the big band style of drumming". He was also a support act to Buddy Rich at the Lewisham Jazz Festival in 1986. He is best known for his work as a session musician and for having taught Phil Collins, one of the world's most famous drummers and best-selling music artists.

Long Player, from 1971, was the second album by the British rock group Faces. Among the highlights are a live cover version of Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed", the wistful "Richmond" and "Sweet Lady Mary", the rave-up "Had Me a Real Good Time" and the opening "Bad 'n' Ruin". Maybe I'm Amazed" and "I Feel So Good" were recorded live at the Fillmore East, New York on October 11 1970.

In the latter half of the 60s, his own quartet with Keith Jarrett, Cecil McBee and Jack DeJohnette was one of the most popular jazz bands of the time. Their album Forest Flower is one of the best-selling jazz albums ever. In the 70s Lloyd was mostly retired from music, but came back in the 80s after being persuaded doing so by French pianist Michel Petrucciani. Charles Lloyd (b. March 15, 1938) is an African-American composer/musician, playing mostly tenor saxophone along with flute and tarogato.
