Trapeze Artists - General Narcotic (Remixes) album FLAC

General Narcotic (Indica + Popeye's Montreal Fix Remix). Mr. Burns & The Geezer's skankadelic remix of General Narcotic is one hell of trippy ass ride through the wickedest, hardest, funkiest, most intense 303 driven roads you have ever set foor on. Sounding more appropriate for something like the . imprint, this one just has no limits or any intention of taking prisoners.

Remixes (stylized as RemixeS) is a compilation of French singer Mylène Farmer's singles by various famous DJ's, including JXL, Felix Da Housecat and Paul Oakenfold. During the summer of 2001, it was rumoured that Farmer and her associates were preparing a new album of remixes, itself of interest as it followed the previous remix album Dance Remixes by ten years. Universal decided to produce a CD with 11 remixes produced by French and international famous DJs and remixers.

Mr. Burns & The Geezer's skankadelic remix of General Narcotic is one hell of trippy ass ride through the wickedest, hardest, funkiest, most intense 303 driven roads you have ever set foor on. Sounding more appropriate for something like the C.O.S.H.H. imprint, this one just has no limits or any intention of taking prisoners. The music fiercely pounds all over, the acid is so juicy and massive, but it's really only few seconds after the five minute mark, after a sample from the movie Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas going "lsd lsd lsd! They gave you what?" that the track really goes berserk. Structure wise, it follows the same ol' Stay up recipe: bring the music to a high level of insanity, then break it all down, only to levitate it even higher up for the second round! Point is, this one is crazy enough that you will have a tough time understanding what just hit you when that last avalanche of acid breaks the sound barrier. I mean, holy crap, speak about being hard and far reaching! This can hold its own with the best peak time hours acid techno stompers, such as Squat Rock, One Night In Hackney, High Noon In Gotham City or Unlucky Punk. This is seriously a classic, a place where acidic and sticky leads fall in love at first sight with incredibly hard and driving techno percussion.

Hey, nice review. However -- and while I don't disagree with any particular point you made -- I would merely remark that the "Skankadelic Remix" absolutely sounds like just about all of the Skankadelic [label] releases, and indeed, is very similar to other tracks that Mr. Burns & The Geezer produced (and for an acid/303-head like me, that is a very, very good thing!).So yeah, I just mean to say that while it does sound in some ways like the original SUF, or perhaps the COSHH label, I think the remix's name very much tells you what it sounds like, in terms of structure and character (which, for the record, consists of a long, minimal intro, lush acid lines, and a crazy crescendo, where the 303s just fly and bleed all over the place; excellent stuff! Very DJ-friendly, too).Peace,A 303 Lover
