Steve Earle - Guitar Town album FLAC

Guitar Town is the debut album from singer-songwriter Steve Earle, released on March 5, 1986. It topped the Billboard country album charts, and the title song reached on the country singles charts. Earle was also nominated for two 1987 Grammy Awards, Best Male Country Vocalist and Best Country Song, for the title track. The album was recorded in late 1985 and early 1986 in Nashville, Tennessee, at Sound Stage Studio. Overdubs were later recorded at Nashville's Emerald Studios

Guitar Town is slightly flawed by an overly tidy production from Emory Gordy, J. and Tony Brown as well as a band that never hit quite as hard as Earle's voice, and he would make many stronger and more ambitious records in the future, but Guitar Town was his first shot at showing a major audience what he could do, and he. hit a bull's-eye - it's perhaps the strongest and most confident debut album any country act released in the 1980s.

This album provides a few great songs with a lot of middling songs. Highlights: Goodbye's All We've Got Left, My Old Friend The Blues, Someday. I used to (and still do) take long walks while listening to music anytime I need to calm down for any reason. Once, I climbed this hill in my town and I stared down the other side with the trail I was on stretching off into infinity and the sun high in the sky. It was summer time and my first day home from college and I was listening to "Someday" off this record on my pink iPod Nano. As I stared at the trail stretching out before me, I imagined myself walking on that trail and.
