Fanny Hill is the third album by the US rock group Fanny. It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and reached No. 135 on the Billboard 200 charts. A single from the album, a cover of "Ain't That Peculiar" hit the Billboard Hot 100. By late 1971, Fanny had achieved some critical and commercial success, with the title track to the album Charity Ball reaching the Billboard top 40.

The third time really was the charm for Fanny, the pioneering all-female rock band who were the first act of their kind to win a major-label record deal in 1970. While Fanny's second album, 1971's Charity Ball, was a solid and imaginative set whose title track became a minor hit single, their third album, 1972's Fanny Hill, truly caught them at the peak of their strength

Fanny went through many changes before its fifth and final album came out. An exhausted June Millington left the band, as did de Buhr. Enter new members guitarist Patti Quatro (sister of Suzi Quatro) and drummer Brie Brandt (Darling). They departed Reprise, signed with Casablanca and went with in-house label producer Vini Poncia. The album, though criticized for Poncia’s uneven production, had solid songs and musicianship, and surprisingly, the band got its biggest hit, Butter Boy. Just as the song was peaking at No. 29, the group had essentially disbanded. Producer: Vini Poncia.

Fanny is one of music's lost legendary entities, often invoked but seldom playlisted. The band's first song in 44 years conveys the same effervescent spirit. The songs on Fanny Walked The Earth, to be released March 2, came from fruitful jams among the three women. They weren't written with a particular approach in mind," says Howard. It had been 50 years since we first played together. There's a huge difference in what there is to write about now than when we were in our teens and early 20's.
