Roger Waters - The Wall (Live In Berlin) album FLAC

The Wall – Live in Berlin was a live concert performance by Roger Waters and numerous guest artists, of the Pink Floyd studio album The Wall, itself largely written by Waters during his time with the band. The show was held in Berlin on 21 July 1990, to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall eight months earlier. A live album of the concert was released 21 August 1990. A video of the concert was also commercially released.

Published By – Pink Floyd Music Publishers Ltd. Made By – PMDC, France. Backing Vocals – Jim Farber, Jim Haas, Joe Chemay, John Joyce. Choir – The East Berlin Radio Choir (tracks: 1-8, 2-4, 2-5, 2-7 to 2-12).

The Wall became a star-studded megaconcert to benefit the Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief, with larger bricks, bigger inflatable puppets, and a larger audience than any of the original Pink Floyd shows. There was always a contradiction in performing such a personal work in a stadium setting, but here it becomes especially acute when opening up the vocal tasks to a variety of artists.

Album · 1990 · 26 Songs. East Berlin Choir, Military Orchestra Of The Soviet Army, Berliner Rundfunk-Orchester, Roger Waters & The Bleeding Heart Band. 8. Run Like Hell (Live Version). 9. Waiting for the Worms (Live Version). 10. Stop (Instrumental Version).

A global television broadcast of the event in which former Pink Floyd leader singer and composer Roger Waters led an all-star cast in a mammoth benefit performance of his acclaimed concept album/concert, The Wall, in support of The War Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief. Set in Berlin, Germany less than a year after the destruction of the Berlin Wall.

Roger Waters presented an all-star production of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' on July 21, 1990, near the recently dismantled Berlin Wall. Much of the significance of The Wall: Live in Berlin may be lost today, with the Cold War long gone and Waters' subsequent worldwide solo tours of the same project between 2010-13. Still, in its moment, the 1990 show stood as a mammoth celebration of the fall of Communist rule in Germany – and, for Pink Floyd fans, a then-rare chance to see this 1979 opus performed on stage. Pink Floyd had launched a brief, unhappy tour in support of the 23-times platinum Wall project in 1980 and 1981, but there were fewer than 30 total performances

The Wall - Live In Berlin. Released August 21, 1990. The Wall - Live In Berlin Tracklist. 1. In The Flesh? by Scorpions Lyrics. Shortly after the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, Roger Waters decided to celebrate this landmark in the German reunification by erecting a version of The Wall he had built with Pink Floyd a decade prior. On 21 July 1990, the vacant terrain between Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate, a location that was part of the former no man’s land of the Berlin Wall, received Waters and a plethora of musical guests (Cyndi Lauper, Scorpions, Bryan Adams) to perform a nearly complete version of the rock opera. It stands as one of the largest crowds ever for a concert: 350,000 tickets were sold, and right.
