Dirty Mind" is the follow-up single in the . and title track to Prince's third album, released in 1980. The song is built around a keyboard riff created by Doctor Fink, which dominates the song. The demo-like song lacks a chorus, and is a stark departure of the smooth R&B sound of Prince's first two albums. The lyrics concern sexual thoughts, which are fairly representative of the other songs from the album.
Neither For You nor Prince was adequate preparation for the full-blown masterpiece of Prince's third album, Dirty Mind. Recorded in his home studio, with Prince playing nearly every instrument, Dirty Mind is a stunning, audacious amalgam of funk, new wave, R&B, and pop, fueled by grinningly salacious sex and the desire to shock.

On the disc appear the ambiguous lines "son of a king" and "LIVE" which may considered as synonym to Prince and the rehearsal. This along with the supposed rights society [n©b] is a common tactic used by bootleggers to avoid detection during the manufacturing process and customs examination.
Tracks 1 & 2 are skits used in the actual track 'Vibrator'. Prince later recycled some parts of it on Seven (by Madhouse) & on Come for segues and in the final track 'Orgasm'
Track 4 is a recording with unknown title, it appears on unofficial releases either as 'Jammin' Til The Dawn' or 'Climax'.
Track 6 is a rehearsal recording without an official title: Due the vocals about Billy's (Sparks) sunglasses it became known as 'Billy's Sunglasses' [printed on this release] or simply 'Billy'. The recording ends with Prince teaching The Revolution the song 'Strange Relationship'.
The version of 'Billy' on this release includes a 11 minute loop [inserted between 32:03 and 42:55]. In 2002 Sabotage released on 'Purple Rush' and it's remastered re-issue from 2008 two different edited versions (but both still deviate from the original - uncirculating on bootlegs - recording).
