Mary Travers - Mary album FLAC

Mary Allin Travers (November 9, 1936 – September 16, 2009) was an American singer-songwriter and member of the folk music group Peter, Paul and Mary, along with Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey. Peter, Paul and Mary was one of the most successful folk music groups of the 1960s. Unlike most folk musicians of the early 1960s who were a part of the burgeoning music scene in New York City's Greenwich Village, Travers grew up there.

Mary Allin Travers was born on Nov. 9, 1936, in Louisville, Ky. When she was 2 her parents, both writers, moved to New York. The next year they released their first album. Virtually overnight Peter, Paul and Mary became one of the most popular folk-music groups in the world. The albums Moving and In the Wind, both released in 1963, rose to the top of the charts and stayed there for months. In concert the group’s direct, emotional style of performance lifted audiences to their feet to deliver rapturous ovations. Ms. Travers, onstage, drew all eyes as she shook her hair, bobbed her head in time to the music and clenched a fist when the lyrics took a dramatic turn

Thankful is the debut studio album by American duo Mary Mary. It was released on May 2, 2000 through Columbia Records. The album comprises urban contemporary gospel, R&B and hip hop soul music. It produced the smash crossover hit "Shackles (Praise You)", which reached the top-ten in seven countries and the single "I Sings", which was also a significant hit-although it did not match the success of its predecessor.
