Chicago - The Best Of Chicago album FLAC
Chicago (sometimes referred to as Chicago II) is the second studio album by Chicago-based American rock band Chicago. Like their debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, this was a double album. It was their first album under the name Chicago (the band's prior name, Chicago Transit Authority, was changed due to a threatened lawsuit from the Chicago Transit Authority) and the first to use the now ubiquitous cursive Chicago logo on the cover

Chicago was my first concert back in the early 70's, and I was lucky enough to see the original lineup 3 times. Lost interest in the band after Kath died, the band didn't seem the same after that. Lost it's edge and headed down the shady slope towards adult contemporary. This album is the same: the first disc is a great chronicle of the cutting edge, innovative sound of the band when they first started. The second disc shows the band as they turned into a ballad factory, essentially losing the horns and leaning heavily on 80's synthy keyboards.
It consists of two discs containing 30 of Chicago's top 40 singles.

Chicago 'Chicago' (1970). On album two, the band may have shortened its name from Chicago Transit Authority, but the prog excesses of the era popped up in three long suites. Though with its pillow horns and buttery vocals, Chicago was never aching to be Genesis. Still, this LP holds the unfuckwithable "25 or 6 to 4," which continues to spawn debates about its meaning. Rollicking like the Animals, with a lush touch of strings and horns, the 'Hams were the best of the bunch. Like most debuts of the 1960s, there's filler, but remarkably little. And that title track still slays, like Burt Bacharach trying to invent punk.
