Singer and actor Jean-Claude Pascal (1927-1992) started his career as a fashion designer for Hermès. Later he met Christian Dior and became his stylist and also his model. In 1956, he was the winner of the Grand Prix du Disque of the Académie Charles Cros. Following a period of military service in Algeria, Deguelt returned to France, and was offered the chance in 1960 to sing for Monaco in the fifth Eurovision Song Contest, held in London on 29 March. François Deguelt (born Louis Deghelt, 4 December 1932 – 22 January 2014).

In 1963, she was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque from the Académie Charles Cros (see: Grand Prix du Disque for French Song). Françoise Hardy during the filmmaking of Grand Prix on the Circuit de Charade in August 1966. In 1994, she collaborated with the British pop group Blur for their "La Comedie" version of "To the End". In 1995, she sang on Malcolm McLaren's single "Revenge of the Flowers". The song appears on his concept album Paris. Hardy's 1962 debut album was referenced in Wes Anderson movie, Moonrise Kingdom (2012). In a scene from director John G. Avildsen's film Save the Tiger (1973), Jack Lemmon's character Harry Stoner makes a reference to Hardy during a melancholy telephone call to his wife. Her song "Tous les garçons et les filles" played during the British film Metroland (1997) and Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers (2003).
