Arch Visceral Parlor (AVP) was born out of the long-time friendship between AviGail Ferraio and N. Fremont. It was formed in 1999 after Ferraio and Fremont discovered that their respective lovers were cheating on them with each other. Since that time, the band has outgrown its original spite-filled creativity and matured into something more positively inspired. Named as a reference to Gertrude Stein’s famous parlor, Ferraio and Fremont wanted to create a band that encompassed all the things they studied and loved: painting, poetry and music
