Julian Cope - Gift Set 1 album FLAC
Saint Julian is the third solo album by Julian Cope. It has a very strong pop sound, compared to other Cope releases, and spawned several of his best known tracks (including "World Shut Your Mouth" and "Trampolene", which were both hit singles). Saint Julian was the first album recorded under a new Cope deal with Island Records, following two poorly selling albums on the Mercury/Polygram label.
On 20 March 1982, The Gift, the sixth studio record by The Jam, did something none of the previous five had managed, becoming their first UK No. 1 album.

Julian Cope has a tendency to get a bit conceptual with his socio-political ranting, and I think there are some clever critiques of society to uncover here if you're willing to spend the time to listen closely. Make no mistake this is a Great Album. You see why Julian left Teardrop Explodes. The album sounds fantastic after the re-master but the 2nd disc is worthless. A lot of dub tracks and instrumentals. Where are the thought out tracks that were left out. Oh I guess there were none.

It monged my senses within the first five minutes, then set about my inner structures with sheer weight of adamant repetition and monotony. The CD featured one 60-minute long Sabbath Re-hash plus a nine minutes live-in-concert extra to wake you at the end in case you’d fallen asleep under the sonic assault of the main track and your home was burning down. What pragmatic motherfuckers, I thunk to myself. You could chew up some of the good hash and neck a few beers and lie in bed and sleep to it, leave your body to it, probably even shag to it though I was too busy to set up such an experiment. Then came the crunche. his DOPESMOKER album was an old recording from 1995CE, and was the culmination of years of Sleep’s collective (and terminal) Sabbophilia.
