Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong - Live Recordings album FLAC

Recorded during Radiohead's 2001 tour, it comprises songs from their fourth and fifth albums Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001), plus "True Love Waits", which was not released on a studio album until A Moon Shaped Pool in 2016. The electronic track "Like Spinning Plates" is rearranged as a piano ballad.

Like most Radiohead shows, I Might Be Wrong opens with "The National Anthem. The song's introduction, with Thom Yorke breathing in staccato over Colin Greenwood's thunderous bassline and Jonny Greenwood's skillful manipulation of the primitive Ondes-Martenot, is absolutely wonderful. Without a horn section, though, the song never really develops as it does on Kid A, trailing off without a satisfying conclusion

Since then, it has appeared in Radiohead setlists, and on their live album I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings in 2001. Fans consider it one of Thom Yorke’s best moments as a songwriter. The song is the only I Might Be Wrong track that did not feature on either 2000’s Kid A or 2001’s Amnesiac. A recording was attempted during these sessions, but was ultimately scrapped. In a 2012 interview, producer Nigel Godrich said of the track

I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings" is a 2001 live album by the English rock band Radiohead. It consists of live performances of eight songs recorded on Radiohead's tour of Europe and North America. Seven of the songs are taken from their albums Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2000). The final track, "True Love Waits", would not be released on a studio album until A Moon Shaped Pool (2016); unlike the studio version, singer Thom Yorke performs it on acoustic guitar.

While it seems as though Radiohead could have made it into a cohesive album if they had wanted to, or at least made this one sound like it was one show, what listeners find here is an uneven and incoherent set of Kid A sessions material that is sometimes strong but sometimes uninspired. When strong, the band seems as if it's in command by adding new texture and content. Like Spinning Plates," "Everything in Its Right Place," and "Idioteque" are revelatory and at times feel almost new. Meanwhile, the track "I Might Be Wrong" just doesn't match.

Released in a tri-panel fold out cardboard slipcase. The title on the front cover and the spine is given as I Might Be Wrong Live Recordings The title on the CD is given as Live Recordings. There is another European Version which is exactly the same except for the price code on the rear cover. Here it is F: PM 580.

Reviews about Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong - Live Recordings (1):

Love the recordings, which are the best live versions of all the Kid A/Amnesiac material. However, I must be honest, this is a pretty rough pressing. Lots of noise, even after vac cleaning it. I'd say listen to it digitally before buying this. It's mostly inbetween tracks and during quiet parts that it gets really distracting. But, it doesn't make it unlistenable. Love the versions of the National Anthem and I Might Be Wrong, and especially the only official recording of True Love Waits
