Money (That's What I Want)" is a song written by Tamla founder Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford that became the first hit record for Gordy's Motown enterprise. The song was recorded in 1959 by Barrett Strong for the Tamla label, distributed nationally on Anna Records. It went on to be covered by many artists, including the Beatles in 1963 and the Flying Lizards in 1979.

Money (That's What I Want). 6. Money (That’s What I Want).

Money (That's What I Want) (оригинал The Beatles). Деньги (Это все, что я хочу) (перевод Surfer). The best things in life are free. But you can keep them for the birds and bees. Но оставьте их для девчонок и трудяг, Now give me money. А мне дайте денег, That's what I want. Это все, что я хочу, That's what I want, yeah. Это все, что я хочу, That's what I want. You're lovin' gives me a thrill.

You are the sunshine of my life. Killing me softly with this song. I Ain’t that easy to lose. Dancin’ like they do on soul train. Until you come back to me (that’s what I gonna do). I’M so glad. Why can’t we be lovers. You ain’t no ordinary woman. Just can’t get enough. Love (keep us together). I Need you right now (featuring thelma houston). Don’t lose what you got (trying to get back what you had).

I Found A Love (live). According to some sources, Fulson was born on a Choctaw reservation in Oklahoma. Fulson has stated that he is of Cherokee ancestry through his father, but he has also claimed Choctaw ancestry.

About Money (That’s What I Want). The closing track on The Beatles' second album was a major part of their early repertoire during their formative touring years in Hamburg, Germany-circa 1960-1962. Money (That’s What I Want) was a hit for Barrett Strong in 1959. Written by legendary Motown founder Berry Gordy, the sad irony of this classic song was that Strong was ultimately screwed out of royalties from the tune’s success.

The Beatles first recorded Money (That's What I Want) at their audition for Decca Records on 1 January 1962. Although the music lacked the primal energy of the Abbey Road version, it nonetheless featured a powerful vocal from Lennon. The group also recorded the song six times for BBC radio. The first attempt was on 21 May 1963 for the Saturday Club programme, which was recorded at the Playhouse Theatre in London and first broadcast four days later. This show was recorded at the BBC Paris Studio, London, and first.
