Goo Goo Dolls - Jed album FLAC

Goo Goo Dolls (also known as First Release) is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Goo Goo Dolls, released on June 9, 1987 by Mercenary and Celluloid Records. All of the songs were sung by bassist Robby Takac, who was originally the band's lead vocalist.

Jed begins an important transition in the Goo Goo Dolls' career, refining their mixture of aggressive punk energy and melodic power pop hooks. Most importantly, guitarist Johnny Rzeznik occasionally sings lead for the first time in a move that would pave the way for the band's creative and commercial ascent. While not the Goo Goo Dolls' best album, Jed hints at the greatness that would come with its follow-up, Hold Me Up. Track Listing.

There was a time when The Goo Goo Dolls would scoff at the idea of injecting acoustic guitars into an entire album of medium tempo tunes to cash a big check. Don't get me wrong, I was stoked for these guys when they hit it big with the song, "Name" from their Boy Named Goo album. they certainly "paid some dues".
