The Big Bad - See You In The Shadows album FLAC

In the Shadows is the third full-length studio album by Mercyful Fate. It is also the first offering of the band since their reunion in 1992. It was released in 1993 on Metal Blade Records. Unlike previous Mercyful Fate albums, which were entirely centered around lyrical themes of Satanism and the Occult, the lyrics on this album are rather focused on more conceptual horror-themes, akin to King Diamond's work with his eponymous band.

Drummer Tony Meehan's "See You in My Drums," like bassist Jet Harris' "Jet Black" single of two years previous, is a gripping showcase for his own remarkable talents, while "Baby My Heart" unveils vocal talents which, again, the group's earliest singles alone had illustrated. Modern listeners, schooled in the axeman excesses of more recent years, will doubtlessly find The Shadows impossibly well-mannered and implausibly sedentary. Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch.

this show is riot! highly recommend! Today. indicator the movie is pretty funny.

Reviews about The Big Bad - See You In The Shadows (1):

When it comes to horror punk and horror rock, I have run the gamut. I’ve been listening to it as long as I can remember and in doing so have listened to hundreds of bands. Few have been great, some have been good, but most have been completely and utterly forgettable. Fortunately, there are bands like West Virginia’s The Big Bad that stand out amongst their peers and highlight what’s right with the genre. The band’s sophomore album, See You In The Shadows, is one of my favorite horror rock albums and features quite possibly some of my favorite songs in general. The melodious horror hymns laid down by the band is captained by Zackula von Nasty’s crooning, earnest and heartfelt vocals that propel each song straight to every horror-loving bone in my body. The album delves into everything from the work of Clive Barker in the album opener “Cabal,” to some classic horror films such as The Omen, The Exorcist and Fright Night. “Fright Night” is so contagious that I can’t help but play it in my head for hours at a time. It’s one of my favorite 80’s horror films and every time it plays, I make a little video in my head to go along with the song. It’s a sickness, really.Although every song on here is stellar and well worthy of your time, for me, it always comes back to the title track. “See You In The Shadows” generates such a strong sense of pain and heartbreaking agony that I seemingly tear up every time it plays. It also casts a spell upon me as I feel a chill run through my body, even in the middle of summer. It’s just phenomenal. The Big Bad are truly one of the most notable horror rock bands going right now and you know what’s scary? It only gets better from here…Review By : TJ Hiller
