Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain (Radio Session) album FLAC

Interesting: the collectibility lark. This Goldfrapp Felt Mountain 'Radio Session' is a sensation. I'm not quite sure what radio sessions entail, So I guess it's like a live album, but in a radio studio and then broadcasted live on radio? I say, like a live album", because they will be under the constraint of having only the one take? As I write this, it is still affordably priced as a promo CD - under a tenner. I have many Goldfrapp items and this is easily one of my favourite discs

Goldfrapp are an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999. Goldfrapp's second album Black Cherry, which incorporated glam rock and synthpop sounds into their music, was released in 2003.

Listen free to Goldfrapp – Felt Mountain (Lovely Head, Paper Bag and more). Felt Mountain is the debut album by English electronic duo Goldfrapp. It was released by Mute Records on 11 September 2000 in the United Kingdom. Felt Mountain was a top seventy-five album in Goldfrapp's native United Kingdom, and was certified gold in October 2001.

Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain is that and more. Listening to this album brings to mind several other artists and genres; Annie Ross, Portishead, Momo, Jai, Burt Bachrach, Gregorian Chant, - even the Exotica soundtrack. I don't know much about Gregory and Goldfrapp, but their influences are blatantly discernable. This is normally a bad thing but, again, contrarily, and ironically, Goldfrapp possesses such refined taste and talent that they manage to create something new and satisfying.

Together with umentalist Will Gregory, Goldfrapp wraps her unearthly voice around songs that borrow from '60s pop, cabaret, folk, and electronica without sounding derivative or unfocused. From the sci-fi/spy film hybrids "Human" and "Lovely Head" to the title track's icy purity, the duo strikes a wide variety of poses, giving Felt Mountain a stylized, theatrical feel that never veers into campiness.

Interesting: the collectibility lark. This Goldfrapp Felt Mountain 'Radio Session' is a sensation. I'm not quite sure what radio sessions entail, So I guess it's like a live album, but in a radio studio and then broadcasted live on radio? I say, like a live album", because they will be under the constraint of having only the one take?As I write this, it is still affordably priced as a promo CD - under a tenner. I have many Goldfrapp items and this is easily one of my favourite discs. It has four tracks and they are alternative takes of some of the best tracks from Alison's first album. I love all the tracks, but Human was a definite surprise. Human is generally one of my lesser faves, For me it can sound a bit on the heavy side, a bit brash, whatever that means. But this Radio session transforms the song - the instrumentation is more playful and experimental - I love it.The disc is worth buying for the Human track alone. However, the other key tracks are beautiful too, also having their idosyncracies (though not as stunning a surprise as the reinterpretation of Human).I'd highly recommend buying this CD if you are a fan.
