The Charlatans is the self-titled debut album by the San Francisco psychedelic rock band the Charlatans, and was released by Philips Records in 1969 (see 1969 in music).
The Charlatans is the fourth album by the British alternative rock band The Charlatans, released on 28 August 1995. It went to the top of the UK Albums Chart the same year. The Charlatans is rated 84 in the Melody Maker's top 100 albums of all-time list from 2000. Select ranked the album at number 17 in its end-of-year list of the 50 best albums of 1995. The album's original title was slated to be The First Shag in Ages, named after a chapter from Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting.

Melting Pot is a greatest hits album by the British alternative rock band The Charlatans (known in the United States as The Charlatans UK). Featuring tracks from their time on Beggars Banquet Records between 1990 and 1997 the album was released on 23 February 1998. The cover features a picture of The Weaverdale cafe (now renamed The Melting Pot) in Northwich, the site of the group's first meeting after signing to Beggars in 1990
It combined alternative and psychedelic rock, while giving it the driving beat of electronic dance music. Melting Pot is a sort of companion piece to Songs From the Other Side, both released at the end of the Charlatans' tennure on Beggar's Banquet records. I like The Only One I Know, Then, and other songs from that era, but not as much as the later material.
