La Toya Jackson is the 1980 self–titled debut album from American singer La Toya Jackson. It was released in America and mainland Europe. The album is most known for "Night Time Lover", a track produced by La Toya's brother Michael Jackson, who provides background vocals on the refrain. The album peaked at on the Billboard 200, on the Billboard R&B charts, and in the UK. It spawned two singles: "If You Feel the Funk" and "Night Time Lover".
The Heart Don't Lie album saw LaToya's star rise even higher, with a handful of successful singles like Hot Potato, the Prince-penned Private Joy and the title track, which charted at number 54 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. Disc: 1. 1. Think Twice. 2. Heart Don't Lie. 3. Bet'cha Gonna Need My Lovin'.
Disagreements between Jackson's management and Teldec Records caused a cancellation of the album. Sherman Records purchased the album, added two additional Jackson songs – "Sexual Feeling", recorded in Italy, and "You And Me", recorded in Sweden – retitled the album Bad Girl, and finally released it in 1990. Since then the recording has been licensed to countless small record labels, who have released the album under many different titles. The track Playboy (Be My) has been incorrectly titled Playboy (Be Me) on some reissues of this album. It was re-recorded in 1991 for La Toya's album No Relations as "Be My Playboy".
