Brand New are gearing up for the release of their new full-length album, Daisy, out September 22nd, featuring the first single At The Bottom. The album, which promises to be another boundry breaking assault, is the follow-up to The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, an album that earned critical acclaim from SPIN, Blender, NY Times, LA Times and Billboard, among others. The new record features a collection of songs produced by longtime friend Mike Sapone and mixed by Dave Sardy (Rage Against the Machine, Cold War Kids, Slayer). Brand New continues to break the mold and, in true Brand New form, they delve into new musical territory that will astonish both critics and fans alike.

Brand New are from Long Island, New York, and formed in 2000. This band had its roots in another band called The Rookie Lot, which three Long Island kids named Jesse Lacey, Garrett Tierney, and Brian Lane were in, along with two other members (who ended up joining Crime In Stereo and The Movielife respectively). The three remaining members, along with the addition of Vin Accardi (formerly of One Last Goodbye), got together to form a new band. Voila, Brand New. After a few demos, they put out their debut in 2001 on Triple Crown Records. 5. Bed. Daisy (2009). At The Bottom.
What Brand New does better than anything on Science Fiction is create mood. It's in the weird interludes, the harrowing effects draped on the guitars and Lacey's voice. The singer goes through spine-tingling, high-pitched vocal call-backs on "Desert" and dire, Gregorian chant-like undulations on "Could Never Be Heaven.
Brand New set to work on another album one year later, once again working with producer Mike Sapone on the new material. The resulting record, Daisy, was issued in 2009, and the band took a different approach by focusing nearly all of its promotional abilities on European audiences instead of American fans.
