Chris Connor is an album by jazz singer Chris Connor. Atlantic Records released the album, Connor's first for the label, in 1956. The recording was Atlantic's first jazz vocal LP record. The tracks appearing on Chris Connor were recorded over the course of three sessions. The first of these occurred on January 19, 1956, with a small orchestra accompanying Connor, using arrangements by Ralph Burns.

After a stint with Jerry Wald's jazz group, she had major success with Stan Kenton's band in the early 50's before breaking as a solo act by the mid 50's becoming the best-selling artist for the Bethlehem label before signing as the first jazz singer to the Atlantic label.

Connor's coarse, throaty tone, sweet phrasing, and unerring rhythm were peaking during the late '50s, and the results are delightful tweaks of the standards "Anything Goes" and "Almost Like Being in Love

This is the discography of singer Chris Connor. Connor recorded approximately 42 albums and several singles between the years 1949-2003. This discography lists all known first-release EPs, LPs and CDs released by the singer, and includes some live recordings released on CD containing her 1950's radio performances. Chris Connor moved to New York in 1949 and secured a job as a big band singer, working with Claude Thornhill and his vocal group The Snowflakes.
