The Falcon Marching Band, known also as the FMB, is the marching band of Bowling Green State University. It features a symphonic sound and chair step marching that rivals bands of larger conferences. Under the direction of Dr. Michael King, the 250 member marching band is the largest student organization on campus. The band performs at all home football games, which are hosted in Doyt Perry Stadium as well as other various university functions. The Falcon Marching Band only exists during the football season. The first band to represent what would become Bowling Green State University was formed during the 1923-1924 academic year Style & Tradition.

Falcon Marching Band (FMB) is more than a half-time show or a parade. It takes a certain kind of person to put on the Orange and Brown, a special type of personality to be in the band, and a specific level of musical ability to play our Alma Mater. Our family of musicians welcome everyone who has the dedication, talent and attitude required to represent our college on the field or on the road. Every year, we attract students from across the United States to march in our ensemble
