Chopin was born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin in the Duchy of Warsaw and grew up in Warsaw, which in 1815 became part of Congress Poland. A child prodigy, he completed his musical education and composed his earlier works in Warsaw before leaving Poland at the age of 20, less than a month before the outbreak of the November 1830 Uprising. Alexander Scriabin was devoted to the music of Chopin, and his early published works include nineteen mazurkas, as well as numerous études and preludes; his teacher Nikolai Zverev drilled him in Chopin's works to improve his virtuosity as a performer. In the 20th century, composers who paid homage to (or in some cases parodied) the music of Chopin. Album Leaf (Moderato) in E major, B. 151. Andantino in G minor (arr. of the piano part of the song Wiosna), B. 117. 2 Bourrées, B. 160b.

Alexander Jenner (who was born in 1929 in Vienna) studied from 1945 on for almost ten years at the "Musikakademie" in Vienna. Lateron he turned more and more to the classics from the romantic period: Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Schumann and Grieg, in solo recitals and as a soloist with the leading orchestras of Europe: Vienna Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Staatskapelle Dresden.
