Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band, consisting of husband and wife Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, along with Win's younger brother William Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara. The band's current touring line-up also includes former core member Sarah Neufeld, percussionist Tiwill Duprate and saxophonist Stuart Bogie.

If there's one thing Battletoads for the Arcade isn't, it isn't boring. The soundtrack to this game is, like the actual arcade game, awesome. The soundtrack is testosterone inducing, hard hitting, and Toad-ally cool. If you don't like this soundtrack, there's nothing wrong with it.

Reviews about Arcade - 133T (1):
ARCADE seem to be following a path laid by the likes of AUTECHRE - exploring rhythmic ideas rather than accepting our rigid 4:4 heritage. They are explorers, delving into areas which formerly only existed in myth and hypothesis. Where guitarists search for the 'lost chord', ARCADE build complex structures, cumbersome rambling patterns which seem to work, and work well. "c=f^0+0d" combines a complex slow rhythm of (mainly) synthetic noises fed thru short reverb with a gently evolving smooth-as-Cadbury's-Caramel fx-laden central theme. Into this heavy / light mixture they explore the possibilities of Drum 'n Bass. It's a familiar piece - appearing before on the "EXP02CDR", an album given away at one of the EXPERIMENTAL SEAFOOD RECORDS live events. It deserves it's wider release here and even manages to sit well as a single track. With "slo fi" they fire all manner of electronic noises, all seemingly fed through hard gating fx, into a gentle lulling sequence which brings ASHRA's "Kazoo" to mind. It's a curious juxtaposition of images both stark and serene which is somehow quite natural. Originally reviewed for Metamorphic Journeyman.
