Captain And Tennille - Make Your Move album FLAC

Make Your Move is the fifth album by the American duo Captain & Tennille. Released in 1979, the album includes the hit single "Do That to Me One More Time". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA. It is their first album on Casablanca Records.

Backing Vocals – Mitch Gordon (tracks: A1, A2), Orin Waters (tracks: A1, A2), Ron Hicklin (tracks: A1, A2), Toni Tennille (tracks: A1, A2, B2). Baritone Saxophone – John Mitchell (9) (tracks: A4, B2 to B4). Bass – Abraham Laboriel (tracks: A1, A2, B4), Scott Edwards (2) (tracks: B1, B3).

In 1979, Captain & Tennille left A&M for Casablanca records, a move that placed them atop the Billboard Hot 100 once again, this time with Toni’s song Do That To Me One More Time. Toni Tennille continues on with a solo career as a singer of traditional pop, performing with big bands and symphonies and has released numerous solo recordings to the praise of critics. She’s also become involved in stage musicals, having starred in the touring company of Victor/Victoria. Make Your Move" was a departure of sorts for Captain and Tennille: A new image and record company and another hit (Do That To Me One More Time) make this a very enjoyable adult contemporary album and their most coeshive album until "Keeping Our Love Warm". All the songs here run over 4 minutes.

Captain & Tennille left A&M for Casablanca Records, a move that turned out to be unwise, since the formerly trendy label (known for Donna Summer and Kiss) was entering a decline. Nevertheless, their label debut, Make Your Move, released in the fall of 1979, returned them to gold record status, featuring the chart-topping hit "Do That to Me One More Time," written by Tennille. By 1980, however, Casablanca was nearly moribund and was not able to promote Captain & Tennille's sixth album, Keeping Our Love Warm, which failed to even reach the charts.
