Nirvana - The Ultimate Review album FLAC

Drawing on rare archive footage of Nirvana, this is a powerful portrait of the music that changed the world. Featuring the views of the people who were closest to the band. Nirvana is a "best-of" compilation album by the American rock band Nirvana, released in October, 2002. It was the third Nirvana album to be released following the death of vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain in April 1994, and the first to feature studio material. It is also the band's first best-of compilation. The album features the d "You Know You're Right", a song recorded in January 1994 during Nirvana's final studio session.

Nirvana lies all of its cards on the table immediately with the familiar chugging rhythms of "You Know You're Right", Novoselic's bass menacing as Cobain rakes the strings above the bridge of his beloved Mustang for a dissonant, Thurston Moore-on-Zoloft effect. The song itself is something of a sketch: Kurt reportedly rewrote several lyrics just before the recording session and intentionally slurs where the words aren't quite there (er, "Let's talk about someone else/ Steaming soup begins to melt"?). In his liner notes for Nirvana, David Fricke notes that Cobain wrote "About a Girl" after an extended session listening to Meet the Beatles, and while the connection is not immediately apparent, the song does serve as a blueprint for some of Cobain's most tuneful later compositions.

But Nirvana's second album went on to shift 100 times that amount; and, since the suicide of frontman Kurt Cobain in April 1994, its surprise success has been acknowledged as a factor in its primary songwriter’s tragic demise. With hindsight it is easy to work out why Cobain struggled with the LP after its completion and release. In Utero, Nirvana's third and final studio album of 1993, was a difficult, abrasive record; compared to its predecessor, it's clearly the product of a mind pushed beyond its limit

Unplugged in NY" was my first Nirvana album, and I have no regrets!!! Once you fall in love with the band, check Bleach out! Although it's totally different than their other albums, it is still raw, beautiful Nirvana, and contains all the power and passion of the other albums. Kurt called this album, "retro-seventies!" And so it is! Listen to "School" or "Love Buzz" and it may remind you of some of the music of that far distant decade.
