That Petrol Emotion were one of John Peel’s favourite bands performing many sessions for his radio show! FIVE BONUS TRACKS: The original vinyl release of Manic Pop Thrill featured 12 tracks, whilst the CD benefitted from 3 bonus tracks from day one. These CD only tracks are included here on Side D along with the tracks ‘Mine’, the b-side of the single release of ‘It’s A Good Thing’ and ‘Non-Alignment Pact’, written by Pere Ubu and recorded live at The Electric Ballroom in May 1986.

Babble is the second album by Irish alternative rockers That Petrol Emotion, released in 1987. The album was re-released in 2001 with additional tracks. It was the band's only proper chart success, due to being their first and only top 40 entry at That Petrol Emotion. John O'Neill - guitar. Raymond O'Gorman - guitar. Damian O'Neill - bass guitar. Ciaran McLaughlin - drums.

That Petrol Emotion originally formed in 1984 from the ashes of the Derry Hitmakers, Bam Bam and the Calling and The Undertones. It was formed by guitarist John O'Neill and second guitarist Raymond Gorman who DJ'd together at the Derry 'Left Bank' club. Drummer and friend Ciaran McLaughlin joined next after having relocated from Derry to London, followed by John's brother and Undertones lead guitarist Damian O'Neill who played bass from 1985 until 1988 upon John's departure.
