Miles Davis - You're Under Arrest (CD, Album, Ltd, RE). Лейбл:Sony Records Int'l по каталогу: SICJ 299. Состояние носителя: Носитель: Mint (M) Состояние обложки: Обложка: Mint (M). Released in the middle of the synthetic 80's and relatively easy to digest, this was Miles Davis' pop album. Containing the hit single "Time After Time" (Cyndi Lauper) and a cover of the Michael Jackson sung "Human Nature", it opened the Davis cosmos to a public of millions. They made only one album, in '78, similarities to progressive bands like HATFIELD & THE NORTH, KING CRIMSON and NATIONAL HEALTH are evident. The music is mostly instrumental fusion, progressive performed on acoustic and electric guitars, synths, cello, double bass, electric bass, keyboards, drums and percussion.

The New Sounds is the debut studio album by Miles Davis, released as a 1951 10-inch LP. It is his first album as leader and his first album for Prestige Records. Davis contributed three tracks to the various artists LP Modern Jazz Trumpets and performed as a sideman for Lee Konitz's on The New Sounds. What you’re left with is a quick, catchy listen that’ll be the perfect soundtrack for your next dinner party (or date!) or dy session. You’ll know what I mean as soon as you throw it on and hear Miles and his nine-piece (!) band groove through the aptly titled Move. Also, it’s hard to argue against a project that ends with such a ridiculously cool closer as Darn That Dream, which features the smooth vocals of Kenny Hagood. In addition to being the first from Davis’ so-called second great quintet, it was also an anomaly in that the composition duties were handled by different members of the group. Given that information, you’d be right to expect something that sounds half-baked. AM: When you have an album featuring both John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley on saxophone, you know you’re doing something right. And for Davis, he did that something right for several albums.

You better believe "Cookin'" finds the Miles Davis Quintet (inlcuding such luminaries as John Coltrane, Red Garland, Philly Joe Jones and Paul Chambers) in full effect at Rudy Van Gelder's New Jersey studio in the Fall of 1956.
