Kiss, Gene Simmons - Gene Simmons album FLAC

Gene Simmons is a 1978 solo album by Gene Simmons, the bassist and co-vocalist of the American hard rock band Kiss. It was one of four solo albums released by the members of Kiss on September 18, 1978. Reaching number 22 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart, it was the highest-placing of all the four Kiss solo albums

Most Kiss fans associate Gene Simmons with the band's hardest-rocking compositions; after all, he's responsible for such heavies as "Watchin' You," "Calling Dr. Love," "Larger Than Life," and "Goin' Blind. So many Kiss fans must have been surprised when they heard Gene's diverse 1978 solo album, with songs that contained choirs and string arrangements, plus elements of Beatles pop, '70s funk/disco, and feel-good rock & roll.

Gene Simmons was the band’s most visual member and also represented their darkest, heaviest tendencies. So it was with great surprise that his solo album presented the most stylistic diversity, with special guests from Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen and The Doobie Brothers’ Jeff Skunk Baxter to his then-girlfriend Cher offering cameo appearances on what’s essentially The Gene Simmons Variety Hour

Notes

The original LP came with a "jigsaw" poster. All the band members' solo albums came with these posters, which would fit together like a puzzle to make one big poster. A double-sided Kiss Army merchandise and membership order form was also included. The inner dust sleeve features the cover art for all four solo albums.
